Krabi (II) - Ao Nang: The Small Hotel & Renting Motorbike

Erm.. After getting our cab at Airport, we are now heading to our lovely hotel called The Small Hotel Krabi which located on Ao Nang and Noppharatthara beaches, the small hotel showcases a great location with its charming style. Oops, I feel every hotel located at Ao Nang own their special designs and unique concept.

We are checked in to Pool Access Room for two nights. The door of the bathroom is using sliding door which sharing with the wardrobe.

Pool Access Room means that, you can immediately jump to the pool once you open the glass door in you room, which sharing with ground floor rooms only. Imagine... DIRECT access to pool & private jacuzzi!! How COOL ?!?!

Because of all this excitement and exhilaration, Hubby and my brother plan to cancel our 3rd night accommodation which was booked at Phi Phi Island. Obviously, it is something impossible and no way to spoil my plan for the trip =D

Some useful tips here,

If you are the adventurous type, you might rent a motorbike for sightseeing within Ao Nang instead of renting a tuk tuk car. (tuk tuk car's style is like a small motorbike which are fitted with a side carriage)

When renting your bike, you will have to give some documents as deposit (passport,driving licenses or etc) to insure against the theft of their motorbikes. I am personally disagree to pass them a passport as security as I don't think they will keep our things properly. Thought in Thailand everyone are obligated to wear a helmet when driving, well, you will see only a FEW people are doing so.. at Ao Nang.

Most motorbikes have 110-125 cc engines, and you need to fill up the petrol by your own in the nearer refueling point. There are small huts along the small road leading to the highway. These small huts are refueling points as there is no petrol stations at Ao Nang beach area. A proper petrol station could only be found at Krabi town, I guess.

You are required to have a driving license if you are the one driving there. Anyhow, they wouldn't check this and that for you. You just have to ensure yourself are legally riding there. Something to protect your own, in case any unpleasant accident happen there.

You may grab your motorbike rents and day trip ticket from the counter, at the Hotel you are staying. I believe they will help you a lot... A little tips to share here for today for anyone of you who will going to Krabi!
