Flee and Feel it at UK Farm, Kluang, Johor

UK Farm 01

A quite hot and popular place for visit in recent months. Number of bloggers were invited by UK farm's owner for visiting their farm for free, but with a return to post this place in their blog. I have missed this chance to join them up because the visiting date had exactly crashed with my exam date. Therefore, I have organised a self visit right after exam.

UK Agro Resort or UK Farm is located at Jalan Batu Pahat, Kluang, Johor which takes around 3 hours from Kuala Lumpur. This is an agro farm operated by boss named Un Keng, that's how the name of the farm created.

The farm is huge, and they provide the open-air bus to bring you around, or you can choose horse ride. You will be given a ticket, and waiting the instruction from the bus driver. They will fetch you to visit their farm, station by station, which tales about 2 to 3 hours to complete the whole journey.

"Farm Factory -> Goat Feeding -> Hug Baby Goat -> Herb Valley -> Ostrich Feeding -> Passion Fruit Plantation -> Jakun Village -> goat Kid Feeding -> Mushroom Farm -> Back to reception hall (by Foot)"

A giant goat statue was built next to the counter, Wishing Goat "Good Luck Goat", also knows as Etawah.

A little bit of the history, president Sukarno brought the purebred Jamnapari goats from Etawah, Uttar Pradesh India to Indonesia for cross breeding purposes in the year 1947. Remarkably, the white Etawah goats can only be bred in Senduro, a village located at the foot of a volcano. According to local farmers, Etawah goats can grow to a very large size, up to 170kg. Apart from providing highly nutritious meat and milk, Etawah goats can also brought good luck and peace to the farmers. The history behind this was, in 1956 there was a volcanic eruption in Senduro. More than 1000 people died in that disaster, however 30 Etawah goats' farmers were safe. (Source from UK Farm)

After visiting the farm by Bus Router, at around 1pm, there is some special show. They will release a Shepherd dog to chase all the goat/seep back to their Goat Pen. What a great spectacle show, extremely!! Enjoy herding with more than hundred goats in UK Farm is the activity I love most.

We are staying at one dormitory at that night, guess this is one of the unique accommodation of UK Agro Resort. The spacious wood and atap dormitory provides an open sleeping quarters which can accommodate 20 person per dormitory, I assume. You wont't feel bored at night because you can sing karaoke and sometimes they do have special entertainment. If you wanna make a wish, they do provide the wishing lantern "孔明灯".
